IJEP- CALL FOR PAPERS
UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DISASTERS AND DESPERATENESS SEEKING FOR HOPE THROUGH CRITICAL DISCOURSE AND RESISTANCE
Journal of Educational Policies is a refereed, open access, international, biannual online-only journal that is policy-oriented and committed to promote debates about education policies and politics among academics, activists, educators. This Call for Papers announces for the year 2025 issues of International Journal of Educational Policies (IJEP).
The period we live in is a period in which many injustices, inequalities and natural and man-made disasters drive us to despair. Our historical accumulation of struggle and the experiences we have gained in our resistance to the violent/forceful tools of the rulers are very valuable, but they are insufficient in eliminating the current violence. There are many reasons, no doubt. One of them is that the imaginations, discourses and ideals that will eliminate the sources and consequences of these problems have not been produced in a context that will include the world of today. The establishment of a discourse that will bring millions of people, the victimized and the disadvantaged out of despair will also reveal the leaders who will implement it and the resources and networks that will be sufficient to be driving. It is also the case that this historical construction is undoubtedly fragmented, regional, limited in terms of subject and context and cannot encompass everyone. However, giving people the feeling that we are moving forward and towards the better will facilitate and accelerate the next steps. We need utopias that create good example life experiences and the stories, narratives, research reports and sources in various languages such as documentaries and movies that reveal and mediate the sharing of these experiences. With the IJEP 2025 issues, we want to be a source for this search and share these stories, thoughts, discourses and experiences.
We welcome the country cases and also detailed case analysis for the transformative experiences and the revolt examples to the inequalities on class, gender and race issues. General themes of the journal are educational policies in different countries, comparative educational practices, research methodologies related with analysis of education policies; ‘race’ and education, gender policies, special education policies, identities and inequalities in education, equity policies and practices in some cases, language policies, immigrants’ education and multicultural issues in education, emancipatory educational practices, lifelong learning policies, compulsory and post compulsory education, higher education policies, e- learning and distance education policies, politics of technology, transition policies, tracking in education, financing policies in education, information policies, critical peace education, critical ethics issues, art in education policies, commercialization and privatization in education, neo-liberalism, destruction of public education, education in pandemics, and critical eco-pedagogy issues.
